Important: The Assisted Dying Bill

News Update:

WE CAN STILL DEFEAT ASSISTED SUICIDE!

There is a clear path toward the assisted suicide Bill being defeated at Third Reading. Early analysis shows that at least 36 MPs supported the Bill but have concerns that mean they may vote NO at later stages.

Just 28 MPs switching their stance to NO would ensure it is defeated. We need MPs to know that their constituents want them to vote NO at Third Reading. Please take action now by visiting www.righttolife.org.uk

The Bishops’ Conference of England and Wales released a statement in response to the Assisted Suicide Bill on 15 November 2024.”

THE ASSISTED SUICIDE BILL

This bill will be voted on by MPs on 29th November. We know that assisted suicide laws in other jurisdictions have had devastating consequences for the poor, disabled and marginalised. This is the biggest threat to the vulnerable in a decade, and we need a huge effort to lobby MPs to vote against the bill. Please urgently contact your MP and ask him/her to vote against the bill. You can contact your MP by visiting www.livesworthliving.org.uk or write to him/her at: House of Commons, London, SW1A 0AA or complete one of the cards available at the back of the church.

NIGHT VIGIL FOR THE DEFEAT OF THIS BILL
