SOLENT PASTORAL AREA

The parish of Sacred Heart, Fareham, is part of the Solent Pastoral Area, a grouping of four parishes which includes Gosport, Stubbington and Lee-on-the-Solent, and Park Gate. The Diocesan Ten-year Plan entitled “You will be my Witnesses” calls for all the parishes in the diocese to work every-closer together, holding joint services, combining efforts for sacramental preparation, and sharing resources.  Here on the Fareham-Gosport peninsula, activities to support closer integration are currently happening in many aspects of church life and you will see an increasing amount of sharing across our area in coming months. Details of new initiatives and changes will be hosted on this website and eventually a new website will be established for the whole Pastoral Area which, one day, will become our new parish.”
